Ilyuu Gaona
Full Name: Ilyuu Gaona
Age: Early twenties when cursed, 24 at meeting Serena, 28 at full removal of curse
Physical Notes: Ilyuu is very muscular, although her physique doesn't seem that impressive when she's enlisted because she's judged on male standards. The course of her reversion to an Oream body is not smooth, begins two years after the curse is laid, and takes about four or five years to complete. While her ears begin their elongation long before horn buds appear, her tail grows fairly consistently and the short fuzz that covers most of her body only appears in the latest stage of reversion. As a human, she's hairy, dirty, and on the vulgar side, just like most other soldiers. As an oream, her hair is thick and somewhere between stiff horsehair and soft human hair in texture. Her horns measure in at about five or six inches before she's cursed, grow back fairly quickly as the curse unravels, and will continue to grow a small amount each year until she dies.
About: Serena and Ilyuu fit together into the same world and story, which occurs in an alternate version of southern Europe, the Mediterranean and northern Africa. At two points they do become a couple, so the option is there for them to be drawn as such. If Ilyuu is human it's a very tentative relationship, but after her curse is fully removed it's a bit more open.
Cursed into human form after betraying a member of the minuscule Magi class at about 22, Ilyuu, once a respectable goat-like oream, is rejected by her community and forced to travel far into human territory. Disgusted by her new appearance but lacking options, she dresses as a boy, starts going by "Ilya," and enlists in the Paotian Army. She serves for several years as a scout, fighting in campaigns against other human nations such as the Khabrites and, occasionally, against small pockets of non-humans in the conquested areas. During one such mission, however, she accidentally becomes more involved with a population of non-humans--Serena's people--than her Paotian loyalties would allow. Asked to help the Tarka, her convictions are drastically split. Although she is not in fact human, she has been living as one for two years, and has begun to forget the feeling of existing as anything else. Does she really want to jeopardize her higher human status for a woman she's only just met? And if not, how will she maintain her current situation in light of the revelation that, ever so slowly, her "curse" is falling away?
Art Suggestions: Scouting/riding a horse in uniform as Ilya, gambling or smoking with other soldiers, dressing in her tent, realizing her "curse" is wearing off, putting on war paint, in a physical confrontation, any sort of couple art with Serena.
